TEXAS PAROLE MANAGEMENT
A Message from Our Founder – Cody Hixon (Long Version)
"This all started with a soup and a honey bun."
My name is Cody Hixon, and before Texas Parole Management ever existed, I was an inmate in TDCJ—serving time, like many others, trying to figure out what came next.
Back then, I worked in the law library. One day, a guy asked me if I could help him prepare a parole packet. I’d never done it professionally, but I knew the system, so I gave it my best shot. He gave me a couple soups and a honey bun for my time. That was it. A small exchange. But it sparked something I didn’t expect.
That man made parole. And word started to spread.
Before long, more men were asking for help. Not legal advice—just someone who could help them tell their story right. Someone who wouldn’t judge. Someone who understood the inside. I started preparing packets in that tiny library, praying that somehow these papers would mean someone got a second chance.
After I was released, I had a decision to make. I could walk away from all of it—or I could step into the calling that had been building in that cell block.
With the support of ministries like Speak Life Transformation and a handful of faithful churches, I kept going. Word of mouth became a stream. Then a wave. Now, I lead a full-time team of men and women who believe what I believe:
That nobody should have to walk through the parole process alone.
We don’t pretend to be lawyers.
We’re not selling pipe dreams.
We’re here to do the work—real strategy, real service, real stories that show the Parole Board who your loved one is and who they’re becoming.
This isn’t just a business to me. It’s personal. I’ve lived it. I’ve felt that ache. I’ve seen men lose hope because they didn’t know how to present their case, and I’ve seen families devastated by false promises.
So here’s my promise to you:
If we work together, I’ll fight for your loved one like I fought for myself. I’ll be honest. I’ll stay on the case. And I’ll walk with you until we hear back from the Parole Board—whatever the outcome.
If I’m not the right fit, I’ll tell you straight. No pressure. No drama.
Just one guy who’s been there, trying to help the next one come home.
Let’s talk.
